I think I found an offsite DKP system that would be useful. I will try to read up more and try the demo asap. www.myraids.com/index.php

Go ahead and read up on myraids.com if you wish. I started an account for us and I'll start messing around once I am given my access and our guild "instance" is created. It takes up to 48 hours. Pic of their custom addon:

I dont think that we need to shove the responsibility of the DKP system onto two people. It should be a shard responsibility. The highest ranking officer for a raid should be responsible for keeping track of the raid. Then we can report the info to the site admins, such as Korf and Clunk. It seems unfair to leave all of the technical stuff for them to do. Thats what I meant. Currently I think all the officers are confused as to what we are doing to get a DKP system up. So I think we need to call of one night when we should be raiding and get everyone to find a DKP system. Get it up and runnign that night. Then the following day, or one lonesome person during the night can input all the data. Rhellion, I am sorry if you find some of my responses inmature or very misplaced, however things like this bore the hell out of me. I would rather lead the raid and get zero loot and be sucessfull then to fiddle around with some point system so that people and get their loot fairly. I guess it comes down to is loot is not a big thing for me, and I some times don't understand why it is a big deal for other people. Not to say I won't help get a system up and do the boring input of points into the system. however when you first wrote that, I interprited it as, Clunk and Korf will take care of all of it. So, sorry. Also consider I am illiterate to and I some times take exactly what you say to the bone in post. If you catch me doing it, /bitch slap.

I've got access to the dkp site now. Tonight I will export our guild roster to it, but today I'd like to add in item values. Again, I would like to use set item values like in the links above. Please leave some feedback on that dkp style and if I can get the go ahead.

I have a few questions
Does everyone start out at 0? After 200 points say i have 290 points and a tier one piece drops instead of -50 it turns to -90 to keep people from "hordeing" points?
50+65+50 = 165/40 = 4.1 DKP Rewarded This statment makes sence but say I had the 290 points does everyone get the extra 40 points?
50+65+90 = 205/40 = 5.1 DKP Rewarded?
and if this is not the case would people want to spend there points at say 265, since this is pretty much as high as you can go since it will be kicked to 200 any how?
I understand it makes sence to do it this way and back it just had a few questions that sooner or later some peeps will ask.
SUGGESTION:
One last thing 50+65+50 = 165/40 = 4.1 DKP Rewarded In this statement the people getting the loot still get DKP? even after they take an item? so say I get 2 items and it takes my points to 100 I still make out with 4 DKP giving me the items for 46+65+50? maybe split the DKP to the rest of the raid and the peeps that gain the loot have to pay full price for the item? so If Peep A, and Peep B take the three Items that dropped then the DKP should be split betweed 38 peeps IE: 50+65+50 = 165/38 = 4.3 DKP
Just thought I would send that out there.
Thanks again Antimode
I'll get my other questions based on these thanks.

The 200 is a cap that was used in DD but we can raise or eliminate if we wish. If you are over 200 in this system, those extra points are only used for bidding on items, not actually spent. If you have 290 points and someone else has 200, you are highest and get the item if you bid. You are then lowered to the 200 cap, THEN dkp is subtracted for the item and you are now at 150.

All this math! I'm going to have to get my financial advisor's number on speed dial before I go on raids now...

Points awarded for events are based off items, not dkp spent. If an item is given out after noone is willing to spend dkp/bid, then full dkp is awarded even though noone spent any. Same goes for if a person is over the cap. Dkp is awarded based of item values and not dkp spent (or not spent).
Does that make sense or am I confusing everyone?
Answering the edited question: all loot is split 40 ways for dkp because all 40 people earned the points by attenting and killing bosses. Not awarding points to someone because they recieved loot is adding unneccisary complications, plus I think they should still get points for their particiapation.
